Who we are

This site is operated by CGW - Cognitive Guardian Work ("CGW", "we", "us"). We build software and provide security services. You can reach us at cgwofficialai@gmail.com about anything in this policy, including a request to delete your data.

What we collect

We collect what you type into a form. Beyond that, the only thing we collect is anonymous traffic statistics - and only if you accept the cookie banner. There is no advertising network and no profiling on this site.

Contact form

When you submit the contact form we receive your name, email address, an optional budget range, and your message. We also record the date and time of the submission.

Careers form

When you apply for a role we receive your name, email address, phone number if you provide one, the position applied for, an optional portfolio link, your message, and your CV file if you attach one.

Server logs

Like any website, our host records standard request information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These logs are kept by the hosting provider for operational and security purposes.

Why we use it

• To reply to your enquiry or application. That is the only reason we ask.
• To keep a record of enquiries so nothing is lost or answered twice.
• To protect the forms from automated abuse.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or add you to a marketing list you did not ask for.

Where it goes

Submissions are stored on our server and emailed to us. Email delivery is handled by Resend, which processes the contents of that email in order to deliver it. Our website and its data are held with our hosting provider. If you accepted analytics, Google also receives the page-view data described below. We do not pass your data to anyone else.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and applications are kept for as long as they are useful to the conversation, and are deleted on request. If you apply for a role and are not hired, tell us and we will remove your application and CV.

Cookies and analytics

Nothing is loaded until you agree. When you first arrive, a banner asks whether you accept analytics. If you decline, or simply ignore it, no analytics code runs and no analytics cookies are set. Your choice is remembered in your browser, and you can change it at any time by clearing this site's data.

If you accept

We load Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are useful. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google a record of the pages you view, along with technical details such as approximate location, device and browser. We use it only to understand traffic - we do not use it to identify you or to advertise to you.

We have switched off Google's advertising features: IP addresses are anonymised, and ad-personalisation and Google Signals are disabled. Google's own handling of this data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

If you decline

No analytics script is downloaded and no analytics cookies exist. The site works exactly the same.

Local storage

Separately from analytics, a small amount of data may be saved in your browser's own local storage purely to make the site work - remembering your cookie choice, and keeping an administrator signed in on the private admin page. That data stays in your browser and is never sent to a third party.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email cgwofficialai@gmail.com and we will action it. If you are in a jurisdiction with specific data-protection rights, such as the UK or EU under GDPR, those rights apply to you here.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are validated and rate-limited on the server, and credentials are held only in server-side environment variables - never in the pages you download. No system is perfectly secure, but we handle your data the way we would want ours handled.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
